The Pundit

Gameweek 1 & 2

As the beginning of the highly anticipated Champs Laegue approches, we take a look at some of the early "must have strikers" on your Fantasy teams, a few who are looking to give their respected clubs a head start on the title race.

drogba

 DIDIER DROGBA

Didier Drogba is one of most capable strikers in the league. Drogba has the scoring touch that very many strikers these days are struggling to regain, which will surely be enough to bring Toronto FC an early boost in the outcomes of their first few matches. At 30 years of age he has a perfect balance of fitness, mentality, confidence, skill and of course experience which must just scream put me on your fantasy team. However, goals may not be the only thing Drogba is gunning for, with strike partners with Nikolas Anelka and the Brazilian born Adriano Drogba may be using some hidden talents to set a few goals up as well! All in all, Drogba seems to be a perfect first pick to boost your stats early on.

 SAMUEL ETO'O AND DAVID VILLA

Samuel Eto'o and David Villa are no doubt some of the best players on the earth today, but when you put them together expect magic folks, nothing more to say. With David Villa keen eyesight and vision and Samuel Eto'o's off the ball runs and not to mention both of their unbelievably accurate finishing, these two strikers are out of everyone's league. If you are planned to take these two superstarts just be aware that this will be the first season together at Inter and we have no idea of the type of chemistry these two can come up with. to choose these two you would be playing the odds, either they are three times better than everyone else or they are three times worse than the others. The choice is all yours.

EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR

Emmanuel Adebayor is an extremly talented player with many strengths and not many weakness'. The Barcelona striker has extreme composure on the ball, incredible strength and undeniable finishing skills. Even though Adebayor more or less on his own in the front line, he has one of the best midfield in the league, which includes Francesco Totti, Steven Gerrard and Michael Essien. In other words as long as Emmanuel can time his runs properly and post-up when needed he may have the greatest season of his life. Look for Adebayor to get involved as much as possible, since he missed the end of last season with Arsenal due to a torn hamstring. Overall, Emmanuel Adebayor would definietly not be the worst pick in the world.
